Event Description
Announcing the FOURTH ANNUAL ALA HAPPY TRAILS DAY!
Please mark your calendars to join ALA Staff and fellow ALA Members and their guests to help beautify our lake trails! The meeting/work time is 8:30 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch.

There will be four official staging areas: Access 44 at North Bay (service road at the ALA restrooms), Access 20 (Bank of America gate at the Village), North Shore Marina (Launch Ramp) and Tavern Bay, east (dirt) parking lot. Trail work is not limited to these areas, however, and members are welcome to stop by the maintenance yard building at Papoose Lake parking lot that morning to check out clippers, rakes, shovels, trash bags, etc. in order to work in an area outside of the four official staging areas.

The staging areas will be staffed by ALA Maintenance personnel and detailed descriptions of projects will be provided at each location. Projects range from building steps and pouring concrete catch-basins to general weed abatement/weed-whacking and even trash pick up! There are projects for all ages and ability levels.

For anyone with a construction-type or contractor background, we are looking for a few members who could serve as “project leads.” Please reach out to Dave Kelly for a description of available projects. He can be reached at dkelly@ala-ca-org.

We ask that everyone please sign up between May 4 (when sign-up link is active) and June 15 so that we can plan for the after-workday lunch, beverages, and LIVE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT!

Please plan to meet at the marina at noon for an ALA-sponsored after party, with lunch provided by the all-new GALLEY restaurant and adult beverages provided by Lake Arrowhead Brewery.

More information will be provided in the weeks to come, but for now – plan on spending a fun-filled day with us, while helping keep our beautiful lake trails pristine!
